Show Your Style With These Coat Obsessions

Hey Rosettes, It’s coat season again, and to be honest, we’re excited. The coat trends for 2021 are bold, classic, and everything in between and we’re so here for it. Looking for the latest trends to rock this season? We’ve got you covered.

Wild about animal print
Who doesn’t love a little animal print in their lives? While animal print everything made a big splash a few years ago, we’re seeing it return in 2021 in a big way.

The runways were rife with animal print this year, sealing its spot in the list of this year’s fashion must-haves, but there’s also a deeper hypothesis going around for why animal print is so hype right now.

Animal print speaks to our adventurous side, our wanderlust, so it’s no surprise that after an extended period of restrictions we’re ready to get out there and show a little flair.

Power of peacoats
Outerwear traditionalists will be glad to know that the peacoat is another one of the styles making a scene in the fashion world this year.

First worn by the Dutch Navy in the 16th century, then the British Royal Navy and US Navy, the peacoat has become a symbol of classic style and functionality.

Dress it up with a maxi dress or go casual and match it up with your favorite pair of jeans — that’s the beauty of the peacoat, its simple versatility.

Puffy coats poppin’
If you’re looking to keep cozy while still looking stylish, you might want to opt for a puffer style coat. These staples have been around for ages but they’ve recently gained traction again with the trends of the 1990s making waves on the runways.

Also called a duvet coat, these warm pieces are wonderfully winter proof. Once seen as solely sporty, this year puffers are making their mark in an array of colors from pastel to neutral, and silhouettes from cropped to duster, taking them into the realm of fashion girl flair.

(Faux) Fur-bulous
Faux fur is where it’s at in 2021. There’s something nostalgic and vintage-cool about a furry coat or collar. This chic look got a much-needed cruelty free makeover this year with faux fur ruling the Fall/Winter runways.

Long or short, neutral to dark, there’s a faux fur coat that fits your fancy. Not sure what style you like? Check out a few! We’re loving the cropped faux fur zip-up looks we’ve seen for on-the-go and longer ski-style dusters for an elegant evening out.

Neon love
While pastels have had their moment for quite awhile (and honestly still are), we’re loving the look of bright and bold neon coats that make a statement. While we typically think of neutrals and darks as a winter thing, neon looks are here to blow that up.

Try your hand at sporting an all-neon look! If that’s not your thing, brighten it up with a coat that boasts pops of color.

What style of coat will you step out in this season?
