Here at Camille's Corner, we love a great look and fashion that breaks the mold. We would be remiss of we didn't share out thoughts on one of the largest fashion events in the world Paris Fashion Week.
Every other year, the fashion capital of the world host one of the world’s largest fashion forums. And it’s where some of the biggest names in fashion exhibit the latest trends and styles for the following year’s spring and summer releases for industry expert, designers, and buyers to connect. From tradeshows and runway reveals to parties and more, it’s a fashion spectacle that has the who’s who in entertainment and beyond clamoring to get the scoop on what’s hot and what’s not.
This year’s event was no exception. Across a dozen or more venues, top fashion houses like Saint Laurent, Christian Dior, Balmain, Balenciaga, and Valentino, drew A-list celebrities out to celebrate free expression, creativity, and, of course, bring a little drama.
Camille’s Corner curated some of the most iconic celebrities of this year's fashion week, so let’s get into it.
Lori Harvey
From fashion to beauty, model turned businesswoman Lori Harvey is known for carving out her lane without having to speak. Her style is chic, blended with grace and a pinch of the unexpected, and she exceeded expectations during this year’s Fashion Week in Paris. Event after event, Harvey looked amazing. The SKN brand owner debuted an all-black ensemble with Valentino Garvani’s Roman Stud Leather Handbag, platform heels, and a short bob for a sophisticated finish.
Claire Sulmers
Claire Sulmers is fashion and can arguably be considered one of the industry’s most influential voices and our beloved fashion fairy Godmother. She is the Editor-In-Chief and Founder of Fashion Bomb Daily, the go-to forum with millions of followers worldwide. As usual, Sulmers amazed us with her signature platinum hair perfectly coupled with the look after look. During the Christian Sirano show, she wore a Christian Siriano two-piece Black pants suit that not only fit her like a glove but showcased glam and elegance.
Erykah Badu
Aside from her musical talent, Erykah Badu is a fashion risk-taker and the epitome of multidimensional aesthetics. She is one of one, and her style demands attention that only a woman of her caliber can assert. During Paris Fashion Week, the soul songstress took centerstage with her creative approach to streetwear. Not only was each look incredible, but Badu turned it up a few notches by taking the “ugly shoe” trend to new heights. During the Rick Owens show, Badu rocked a bold red pair of “sea anemone” leg warmers designed by up-and-coming fashion designer Myah Hasbany and later sported a gray pair the next day.
Doja Cat
Doja Cat, 26, is a multi-talented phenom with the world watching her every move. The “Get Into It” singer is not a fan of the status quo, and her fashion embodies that sentiment. During this year’s Paris Fashion Week, saying Doja Cat stunned would be an understatement. Instead, she came, saw, and conquered. Unwilling to be just another face in the crowd, Doja Cat made face art part of many of her looks. From attending the Mônot preview with blue and white painted on her face to compliment her style to glistening gold face and body paint with a two-piece Simon Miller gingham suit, she took rule-breaking to another level.
Paris Fashion Week is a tradition that allows the world to embrace the brilliance of craftsmanship, talent, creativity and fashion. Being able to color outside of the lines is expected and these celebrity ladies showed us how it was done.
