Spring Skincare Tips

Spring Skincare Tips

We’re stepping into spring, ladies, and gentlemen! The flowers are in bloom and winter is finally (almost) behind us. While we may be able to kiss the cold, harsh weather goodbye, the lingering effects of the dry winter months can still be seen in our skin.

During the winter months, our skin really takes a beating. The air is cold but dry and the atmosphere is like one giant sponge sucking all the moisture from our skin. During this time, people with certain skin conditions can experience flare-ups. Breakouts and flakiness can be common symptoms of cold weather also. In order to revive the skin during the spring, it is imperative that we exfoliate, cleanse, moisturize, and hydrate. In order to get that healthy glow, we’ve got to make this our mantra.

1. Exfoliate.

Because the winter months have left our skin dry and flaky, exfoliation is key to return our skin to normal. To get the ultimate spring glow, try using Camille Rose Caramelized Cane and Sugar Balm. It’s the ultimate exfoliant and moisturizer in one product. The blend of sugar, almond, and lemon peel grinds offer a gentle, yet effective exfoliating experience and the jojoba and coconut oils seal in moisture. It’s the best way to remove dry, dead skin and reveal the vibrant skin underneath.

2. Cleanse, cleanse, cleanse.

As the weather gets warmer and more humid, our skin will definitely need a good cleanse to get rid of dirt and oil that may build up as the spring months go by. These Tamanu, Turmeric, and Rice Bran Cleansing Bars are the perfect way to cleanse the skin and improve complexion. The Turmeric Cleansing Bar offers a gentle exfoliation while also helping to soothe skin conditions like acne and eczema that may have been a problem during the cooler months. The Tamanu and Rice Bran Cleansing Bars also exfoliate while improving the complexion and appearance of dark marks and scars.

3. Always moisturize.

Moisturizing is probably one of the most important steps to remember after cleansing and exfoliating. Use a body butter or lotion to lock in moisture after a shower or bath. Try a body butter like this Ginger Vanilla Whipped Buttercream for a warm glow and soft skin.

4. Don’t forget to hydrate!

It should go without saying that water is very, very important for our bodies. It is the fuel that keeps us going. Water is important for internal health, but it can also drastically improve our external health and appearance as well. While drinking water won’t prevent dry skin, it can improve your overall complexion. A clearer complexion is great as we leave the dark winter weather behind and step into the bright, warm months of spring.
