Seeing red
While shades of platinum and blonde rocked the world during the summer, this fall it’s all about the autumnal. Shades of cinnamon brown, pumpkin spice, and red are all the rage.
“Coppers are having a massive resurgence,” Michael Duenas, Aloxxi Celebrity Hairstylist told the Zoe Report. “As always, fashion repeats itself, and it’s back!”
We’re here for it. These shades are not only bold and beautiful, but they’re also versatile - complimenting the coloring of all shades from deep to fair.
Our only hang-up with this hue? Shades that fall into the red spectrum can tend to leave hair more damaged and be prone to fading. Worry not though, Rosettes. As usual, we’ve got you!
Key to color care
The most important thing to remember when caring for color-treated hair is moisture. Hair color increases porosity which increases your hair’s need for hydration.
Make sure you’re maintaining your mane by staying heavy on the moisture with this routine:
- Start with a cleanser that won’t strip your hair (of color or natural oils) like Camille Rose Caramel Cowash. This balancing infusion of rosemary, witch hazel, aloe extracts, and more is a hydrating and breakage-reducing cleanser ideal for all hair types.
Start by rinsing hair and scalp. Part hair into 4 or more sections depending on thickness, then apply Caramel Cowash from roots to tips. Massage throughout the length of the hair, emulsifying with fingers and rinsing until the water runs clear. Repeat as many times as necessary to clear your hair and scalp of any buildup.
- After rinsing, apply a deep conditioner. We love our modern take on the traditional cholesterol treatment - Camille Rose Buritti Nectar Repair Cholesterol Treatment for this step. Updated with exotic Amazonian Buritti fruit oil in an Omega 3, 6, and 9 blend, this concoction is crafted to repair dry, brittle strands damaged from heat styling, color treatments, or lack of moisture.
Apply a generous amount to wet hair (or dry hair that needs a little boost of moisture), cover with a plastic cap, leave on to let it do its thing for twenty minutes, then rinse with cool water.
For best results, follow up with a lightweight leave-in like Camille Rose Coconut Water Leave-in Treatment.
Stately style
Defining styles are also in focus this season when it comes to hair trends. From the streetwear-fave micro-bangs and classically iconic box braids to the long romantic waves that are making waves, it’s all about head-turning signature styles this season.
There’s one thing these styles have one thing in common - a need for upkeep, and the Camille Rose kitchen has just the thing, no matter which style you wear.
Whether you choose bangs or braids, shea, cocoa, and mango butter-based Camille Rose Brown Butter Melt will keep you sleek. Apply a small amount of this concentrated blend to the scalp to add a touch of moisture, then to the length of your braids or bangs to smooth out any frizz. Going the way of waves? Apply a small amount after creating your curls.
Whether you’re copping some color or doing a combo of color and style, make sure you keep up on maintenance! What fall trends are you thinking of trying?
